The
Moorings is a traditional English Pub offering good beer, good wine and
good food!
November 24th brought a very special day to Sowerby Bridge Wharf. The
visit of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Staff and customers of the
Moorings pub were delighted to have the opportunity of meeting the prince in
person with floral bouquet presented by Harriet Parker, daughter of landlord
Anthony Parker.
The Moorings were delighted to have been chosen to cater exclusively for
this special Royal event. A selection of sandwiches filled with local
produce, homemade cakes and biscuits as well as fresh fruit were some of the
choices available to the Prince and his entourage on this day.
Local press coverage of the day was in abundance. Both Calendar News and the
Halifax Courier attended the event.

Phil Strong, managing director of the Chameleon Pub company who own the
Moorings said "It was a great honour that the Moorings had been chosen to
cater for this exclusive royal event. I am also extremely proud of the staff
who contributed to make the day such a success".
