Cask Marque Award
The Moorings has scored a clean 100% score right across the board in an assessment by real ale accreditation body The Cask Marque Trust. Of the 7,350 pubs that The Trust assesses each year, only 2.25% actually score 100% on six beers or more and The Moorings sits within this elite group.
The Moorings’ real ales are carefully nurtured and maintained by bar managers Oliver Gallanders and Scott Parkinson. Both are fastidious when it comes to the care of the beer at every stage of their journey from the cellar to the customer.
Emma Tordoff, manager of The Moorings commented: "This award is a great endorsement for us. A lot of our customers visit the pub especially for the cask ale and it is really gratifying to know that we are getting the formula just right. Credit most definitely goes to Oliver and Scott and the whole team for the part that they each play in delivering 100% quality."
Cask Marque director Paul Nunny added: "Congratulations to The Moorings for a fantastic achievement. It requires real skill and dedication to stock six cask ales and ensure that the quality is first class on each one and is just what customers will be looking for."
