Music Lovers Unite & Rejoice As Oxjam Comes To Sowerby Bridge

We’re not talking raspberry jam and there won’t be an ox in sight but The Moorings Pub and Kitchen in Canal Basin, Sowerby Bridge, will play host to seven of the area’s top local bands on Saturday 8th October as part of Oxfam’s UK-wide Oxjam music festival.

Oxjam has been running since 2006 and, in that time, has raised more than £1.5million for Oxfam’s work. That’s enough money to buy 13,000 emergency shelters; 60,000 goats or 900 classrooms.

The month-long music festival encompasses hundreds of event throughout the UK, all organised by volunteers who know and love their local music scene, all raising money to save lives around the world.

Emma Tordoff, manager of The Moorings, and event organiser Emma Collins have invited the following local bands to take part:
• Two Feet Out Of The Groove
• Fever Trio
• 2 Boys 1 Box
• Radicals
• One Foot In't Groove
• Tripswitch
• Elmos Fire

The music will start at 3pm and run right through till 12.30am. Entry is free before 8pm, after which it’ll cost £2 per person. All money
